Opened in July 2014, Camel Republic is the lastest addition to Cha-am parks. To sum it up, it’s a small zoo with some extreme attractions and a few games for smaller kids. It features animals like camels, alpacas, parrots and other birds, ostriches, goats… You can very close to the animals and feed them (20 to 40 baht each time), but camels can’t be ridden, which was a bit of a disappointment for the kids. The whole place has an Arabic palace atmosphere. It’s a nice place to take your Thai family or friends, as they will love the photos opportunities.
