The ferry between Hua Hin and Pattaya has reopened

November 2018

The ferry between Hua Hin and Pattaya has reopened for the high season, here is the new schedule.

October 2018

The ferry is closed until October 31, officially because of “strong wind waves”.

Ferry schedule

The ferry line now has a website. Most of the English version is still in Thai and the “Book online” link doesn’t work, but it’s a start.

For more information:

February 2017

The fare for the ferry link between Hua Hin and Pattaya is currently 999 THB instead of 1,250 THB. The line has been in service for a bit more than one month, and it seems that they are struggling to find customers. To many people, the price is still high compared to the bus (400 baht for a normal bus), and there are several other downsides: the ferry doesn’t carry vehicles, the journey can be cancelled if the sea is a bit rough (it happened several times already), and the pier in Hua Hin is far from the center of town (in Khao Takiab) with no parking facility. Besides, the ferry company doesn’t have a website (only a Facebook page, mostly in Thai) and so it’s not possible to book online. Let’s hope for a better service soon, at an acceptable price!
